Event description

Description

We are thrilled to announce our next event will be Friends and Family Infant CPR, AED, and Epipen training at UAB on Tuesday, October 10! This will be a great time to learn, or re-learn, specific safety skills to save a life. In this hands-on class, you will have a Registered Nurse from UAB's Women and Infants Center provide the training. You will learn and practice CPR, how to use an AED, and what to do when an Epipen is needed. General and specific tips for keeping your baby safe will also be included in the class.

Our instructor will be Freda Centor, MSN, RN, an Advanced Nursing Coordinator in UAB's Women and Infants Services for the past 17 years. She has a Bachelor's in Nursing and a Master's in Maternal Child Nursing. She coordinates Patient, Parent, and Outreach Education for UAB's Women and Infants Center. Prior to UAB, Freda held the same position at the Medical College of Virginia Medical Center in Richmond, VA, and Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Check in and dinner for the event is 5:30-6 pm, then class from 6 pm-7:30 pm. Everyone who attends this event will also receive a mini-swag bag filled with goodies from businesses around town.

When: Tuesday, October 10 from 5:30pm -7:30pm
