Music and food lovers will enjoy the outdoor vibe in downtown St. Catharines with local artists kicking off the “Blues Brews & Burgers” event happening Saturday October 1st outside The Works located at 60 James Street St. Catharines. The Works will be transformed into a music venue for this upcoming event in support of The RRPC Innovation Foundation.

Works St. Catharines owner Mario Ciccarelli said ““When the opportunity presented itself to us to work with the RRPC Innovation Foundation team, we didn’t hesitate. Through their great work and commitment, The RRPC Innovation Foundation continues to transform lives of youth across Niagara providing support for a safe day space, with increased access to free mental health counselling with no wait list for youth across the Niagara Region. The Works is honoured to partner with this amazing foundation.”

Featuring a line-up of non-stop live music with local musicians that will make their way to the stage outside The Works starting at 1 pm – 7 pm followed by The Brant Parker Blues Band who hitting the stage at 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm with special guest Blues Artist Spencer Mackenzie.

BRANT PARKER BLUES BAND WITH SPECIAL GUEST SPENCER MACKENZIE - 7:30 PM - 11 PM

Multi Award-winning Blues Artist Brant Parker has played with various blues acts including Tony Bennett, Jeff Healey, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and Carlos del Junco just to name a few. Joining Brant and his band special guest Spencer Mackenzie who at the age of 22 has celebrated three 2019 Independent Blues Awards Nominations for Blues Rock CD, Best New Artist and Best Contemporary Blues Song, Niagara Music Awards Blues Artist of The Year, and Maple Blues Awards New Artist of The Year. Spencer is no stranger to festival and Blues event stages, with two studio albums which earned global nominations, rave reviews and hit the top of the Blues Charts. “Spencer Mackenzie has a few things that older blues veterans can’t speak to and those are his strengths at this point–his youthful hope with an eye toward the future… and he’ll be the one taking the blues there with him. The event is FREE with a limited number of VIP early bird tickets for front of the stage seating in a designated area for $25 pp . VIP Early bird tickets also include a meet and greet with Brant Parker and Spencer Mackenzie.
