About this event
Blueboy Archives & Cultural Arts Foundation and Faultline Bar present:
BLUEBOY MONDAY
Blueboy Monday is the Foundation's very first meet-and-greet, featuring a special screening of Wakefield Poole's sexual and avant-garde film, BIJOU.
Join radio personality and columnist Miss Tiger and TheeGhettoBlaster for what's sure to be a movie night to remember!
Escape an ordinary Monday ...
Head over to legendary Faultline Bar for an evening of making new friends and enjoying a classic film of early gay erotica serving sex-driven surrealism.
BIJOU was originally released during the summer of 1972.
The film explores a hypnotic world of a less binary sexuality, as a male construction worker discovers a mysterious invitation to BIJOU. It's within this minimal, yet lush realm, that our sexy stud follows instructions to remove his clothes ... and enters the Freudian realm of voyeurism, fantasy and gay sexual exploration.
The all male cast features Ronnie Shark, Peter Fisk and Bill Cable.
Blueboy Monday will screen BIJOU in it's beautifully restored version; taken from the original 16mm film negatives. The man-to-man action, accompanied with evocative classical music, will mesmerize the audience ... whether you're gay, straight and everything in-between.
Blueboy Archives & Cultural Arts Foundation is committed to the preservation, archiving and digitization of more than 30 years of Blueboy magazine.
