Join us in Chicago on Tuesday, January 30 for a one-day Bluebeam training event hosted by the Chicago Bluebeam User Group. This exclusive event brings together the AEC community from across the Midwest for a day of workflow and product education sessions led by Bluebeam experts, as well as presentations from key community leaders.

Please note you are required to bring your own laptop to the hands-on training session and we highly encourage that you bring a mouse and powercord. We also recommend having Revu 2017 installed on your device.

Learn about PDF standards and get to know Revu's most commonly used features and how they enhance your existing workflows. Learn how to navigate and customize the Revu interface, how to create and save custom markups, and how to easily track and share comments added to your project PDFs.

Discover how Revu's built-in collaboration platform, Bluebeam Studio, connects project partners worldwide in real-time on the same set of centralized documents, improves communication, and speeds up the design review process.

10:40AM–11:10AM | Industry Presentation: PDF Standards and Guidelines
Zac Hillyard, Rush and Matt Walsh & Joe Aiu, Power Construction
Rush University Medical Center's ownership team is leveraging Bluebeam and the collaboration of their project teams to create and develop a system of PDF Standards for an upcoming large scale project. Rush’s team and Power Construction will share their strategies for early collaboration that have led to increased efficiency and successful development and exposure of PDF and drawing standards. The team will highlight the role of Bluebeam Revu, its function as a core element of the standards package and its utilization as a collaboration tool between the owner, architect and general contractor. Maximizing productivity and efficiency for the entire duration of the project through early collaboration and the development of project standards are key themes for this presentation.


11:10AM–12:10PM | Creating and Managing Digital Drawing Sets

Create smart, dynamic PDFs to help manage drawings throughout the lifecycle of a project. Connect project files using a variety of Revu's automation tools and help make important information within drawings more easily and quickly accessible by utilizing digital dashboards.

Leverage Revu's built-in measurement tools to quickly perform accurate takeoffs. Develop long-term best practices by saving and sharing customized tools, tracking markups, and creating custom reports that show quantities, costs and totals.

This session will highlight the utilization of Bluebeam Revu toward the implementation of a Drawing Index or Dashboard. The presentation will feature best practices for the creation of an intuitive interface that acts as a navigation hub for the latest project documents and updates.

Discover easy ways to customize the Revu interace to better suit your specific workflows. Learn keyboard shortcuts and modifier keys to imporove overall efficiency, as well as some easy mouse and navigation tricks to get around faster.
