Description
Blue Water SandFest will once again take over the Fort Gratiot Light Station County Park July 12-14. Master and Advanced Amateur Sculptors from around North America will be gathering for the 7th Annual Michigan Sand Sculpting Championships - and this year the Advanced Amateur category will feature duo team sculptures. This family-friendly event offers a wonderful array of activities for guests of all ages, including a “Quick Sand” speed-sculpting show, live music the entire weekend, a Kid Zone and a beer garden. Saturday features the Amateur Competition - individuals, families, companies and organizations can sign up to compete. The event has become one of the most important sand sculpture competitions in the United States and has been named one of USA Today’s Top 10 and Fodor's 10 Best Sandcastle Competitions.
Parking at the site is limited. There is additional parking available at Holland Woods Middle School and St. Clair County Community College Welcome Center. Shuttle buses will take you to the event location.
