Event description

Description

Due to popular demand, we've already scheduled another spectacular STEM event.

Blue Studios Eventbrite Image

Blue Studio's STEM Make-a-thons and Hack-a-thons are the very best STEM experiences a kid, ages 3-17, can have. This full day of hands-on learning will provide kids and their parents with a whole new outlook on the possibilities and opportunities in STEM.

How it Works

Children are exposed to some of the best and brightest minds in STEM for a day that they surely won’t forget. STEM challenges are led by local scientists, engineers, and technologists who guide students through problem-solving, computer science logic, scientific thinking, and engineering design.

Make-a-thons and Hack-a-thons are designed to infuse STEM into communities, by generating excitement and appreciation of STEM among the participating families and increasing their awareness of nontraditional career pathways.

Please note the difference in the program schedule for age levels.

  • The Make-a-thon for Pre-K to 8th Graders is from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
  • The Hack-a-thon for 9th to 12th Graders 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

We believe in the power of STEM for kids of all ages

We know that kids of all ages already think scientifically and have an engineering mindset. Our children are constantly investigating how the world works and are active problem solvers. We believe in the power of establishing a foundation of STEM learning by building upon the strength that kids of all ages already bring to the table.
