So we're celebrating the New Year with a Blue Stockings take on Burns Night! Robert Burns, the Scottish poet wrote Auld Lang Syne and is celebrated himself with Burns Night when traditionally everyone present does 'a turn'. So we thought we'd have a Blue Stockings Supper which gave everyone the chance to share a favourite poem, story or song with other women. And Beth will be doing her own delicious take on a Burns Night Supper.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know each other and, if public speaking fills you with fear, the chance to try out your voice in a supportive group. The only rules are that 'your turn' shouldn't be a sales pitch, last more than 2 minutes and obviously shouldn't hurt anyone.
Don't forget your business cards and there'll be an opportunity to share notices at the end. But mostly this is about getting to know each other, connecting through our poems and stories, enjoying fun and laughter and getting 2017 off to a great start!
Come and join us, book your ticket now and start planning your turn!
