American Heart Association certified training good for initial or renewal certifications.
Students will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants through 5 interactive exercises, scenarios and a written test. Students learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED. Course also teaches relief of choking.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ( BLS Providers ) student manuals are required to attend full course training.
Upon successful completion of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ( BLS Providers ) classroom training and skills testing, attendees will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider wallet card valid for 2 years.
*If wallet cards and/or student manuals are not on hand, please allow up to 2 weeks to receive your wallet card and/or student manual by mail. If student manuals are not on hand and you do not receive your manual by your class time, we will provide a loaner for training purposes only. Loaner manuals must be returned to the Instructor at the end of class.
