BLS for HCP is designed for healthcare professionals who need to learn how to perform CPR for a job or regulatory requirements. This includes nurses, physicians, EMS personnel, healthcare students, physical therapist, occupational therapist, athletic trainers, and other health professionals.
Students will be instructed and practice basic CPR skills, AED use, and other methods to keep patients alive until they can be brought to a hospital or treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.
The BLS for Healthcare Provider program teaches:

Skills are taught, practiced, and assessed under the leadership of our experienced instructors. Students who successfully complete the skills assessment and multiple choice exam, will recieve a course completion card valid for 2 years.
(This course is for healthcare professionals. First Aid is not taught in the class)

Note: Part 1 must be completed prior to attending class. Proof of completion must be provided to participate in the class.
Blended classes introduce information, skills, and AHA guidlines by using an online program. The remainder of the class is taught on-site during a scheduled skills session. This tried and proven method is ideal for those who prefer a non-classroom method of learning.
Skills sessions are 2 hour events which include hands-on practice and testing.

*This class consist of 3 components that must be completed to obtain a course completion card.
Part 1: Online Course
Ticket purchase includes an access key to activate the online course**. Class is self-paced and accessible 24 hours a day. The course typically takes 1-2 hours to complete. A Certificate of Completion is made available after successfully finishing Part 1. A printed copy of the certificate must be provided to participate in Parts 2 and 3.
**Online content is available for 24 months and includes online access to student manual, activities, videos, forms, and other resources.
Part 2: Skills Practice

This portion includes video demonstration and hands-on skills practice. Students will receive coaching and direction from a certified instructor. There is also a teaching segment to help prepare for the written exam.
Part 3: Skills Test
Students will perform skills while observed by a certified instructor. They will recieve additional coaching and remediation as needed. This portion also includes a written examination. A course completion card, valid for 2 years will be awarded to individuals who successfully complete all portions.
