We will discuss:

1. Perspectives on the capex and opex requirements for building secure blockchain networks, thoughts on new financing and development vehicles for these networks
2. Blockdaemon, that helps deploy nodes across blockchains. Blockdaemon recently raised money from Lerer Hippeau, Comcast, and Boldstart, and launched their Blockdaemon Marketplace with 14 different protocol nodes launchable for testnet/mainnet across 4 different clouds and recently announced their partnership with Algorand help deploy, manage, and secure nodes.
3. Algorand, a new blockchain network that relies on a new way to create consensus– not proof of work like bitcoin, but something called “pure proof of stake,” which was designed by MIT mathematician and professor Silvio Micali. Discussions will be around the launch of this new network and how an infrastructure services provider like Blockdaemon is a crucial part of successful launch.
4. The Future of Crypto Networks which builds on our prior CoinShares research on the economics of bitcoin mining, including an interesting CapEx and OpEx analysis.
