Join us for this exciting GlobalEd Lab as we look at how blockchain technology and metaverse spaces could help advance and democratize global education.

Metaverses are virtual, interconnected universes that allow people to join communities, navigate virtual cities and spaces, buy and sell goods, and other uses. Major organizations and businesses have touted the metaverse as a key part of web 3.0 and future technologies. Companies and some universities have already invested in the metaverse. But how can we harness metaverse spaces and ideas to democratize and revolutionize global education? Similarly, blockchain technologies can connect thousands of data points together into single programs or units, or allow for currencies to be established to support global education projects and initiatives.

In this Lab, we'll hear from speakers and players in the metaverse and blockchain areas and create new projects, research questions, and initiatives around these areas. Join us as we plot the future of global education!
