Learn the ancient technique of block printing during this 4 hour workshop and go home with a whole new skill to continue exploring on your own! In this class we will learn how to carve and print by hand using linoleum blocks and explore artistic additions to our prints.
Come prepared to learn, explore, and have fun with the endless possibilities of printmaking. Bring your ideas, drawings, inspiration images, or just come as you are ready to experiment and enjoy. By the end of the session, participants will take home the basic techniques and understanding of printmaking to continue exploring and making prints at home. Materials are included in the fee.
Feel free to bring fabric, a tote bag or other simple items to print on!
Prerequisite
This is a beginner friendly class, all levels of printmaking skills are welcome. Come dressed to potentially get dirty!

Assata González is a multidisciplinary maker, educator, and the Educations Director at Makerspace NYC.
