Facebook’s unveiling of its Libra cryptocurrency has generated a lot of buzz in the financial world, as well as in the crypto and blockchain space. Just several weeks after the announcement of Libra’s launch in 2020 it has become a subject of heated discussions at the highest level, including Chinese regulators, the US Congress and the G7 bloc. The ambitious Libra project faces many hurdles, but is it really set to impact the traditional cross-border business and payment system?

Hugh Madden is Executive Director, Group Chief Executive Officer of BC Technology Group Limited (SEHK:0863), which includes to major digital asset businesses; OSL, Asia's largest digital asset brokerage; and ANXONE, a venue and provider of digital asset trading, custody, and asset management infrastructure.
Hugh is active in the community and serves as co-chair for the FinTech Association of Hong Kong. He has been invited to speak to institutions, industry and regulatory bodies worldwide to share his insightful perspectives.

Karthik Iyer is the ambassador of the P2P-Foundation and runs BlockchainMonk a DLT / DAO think tank. Due to his P2P-Foundation links he has been involved in the Blockchain space for close to a decade. He was featured in the top 100 Fintech influencer list and mentors dozens of DLT startups in 4 continents.
He is a serial entrepreneur and founded Asia’s first neural network in the matching space and was part of the team that built one of the first tablet devices way back in 2007; he has successfully exited all his ventures to date.
