Description

Black Ladies in Public Health is an online community with a real-world impact. We are an international group that promotes scholarship, service, self-care, support and a safe space for Black Ladies in Public Health. We aim to leverage our collective experiences and vision-for-advancement to become the most trusted voice for Black Ladies in the profession and community.

Join the Black Ladies in Public Health as we present an evening of public health artistry! Where healing and health are explored through a lens of "Black Lady Privilege".

The night will include:

  • a special - BLiPH membership VIP Reception

  • BLiPH membership VIP Pre-Reception

  • "Reflections of a Lady" -- Photo-shoot of all BLiPH members

  • "Spoken Data" -- Qualitative data from a BLiPH survey about our experiences in the field of Public Health, conveyed through spoken word!

  • "Rates & Rythm" -- You'll hear music from every generation and genre - with lyrics that call to mind the impact that many factors, often social determinants, play in the rates of adverse health outcomes of our communities. Wait. There's more! We will certainly groove to music that celebrates our success and resilience! It. is. a Party!

  • "Movement against Morbidity" -- We are inviting special guest to get us up and moving! In addition, we will have a dance interpretation of "Public Health, Experienced and Expressed", based on the personal and professional lives of Black Ladies in Public Health!

  • Live Music and More!

Add BLiPH to your week of Public Health Networking for an unforgettable night!
