Description

Last opportunity before Blast! festival finishes to be guided around the streets, market halls and buildings of West Bromwich by our amazing volunteers, taking in the many sites of the festival including: Asian Women & Cars: Road to Independence by Dawinder Bansal; Comeback by Erik Kessels; Girl Gaze: Journeys through the Punjab & the Black Country, UK by Jocelyn Allen (UK), Jennifer Pattison (UK), Andrea Fernandes (India) and Uzma Mohsin (India); Looking for Sandwell by Niall McDiarmid; Polska Brittania by Czesław Siegieda; Sandwell Pride of Place Project by The Caravan Gallery; Stories of Home by Jon Tonks; Where can I find this? by Nilupa Yasmin; and much more!

We will end at Poundland, where The Caravan Gallery are hosting a festival closing party from 6pm and you're welcome to join.

The Blast! Festival of Photography, Talks and Walks is like no other festival because it has been produced with, and for, local people. The festival invites 40 outstanding photographers and artists and curators to showcase work, develop projects and collaborate with communities to present stories about everyday life.

With exhibitions, film screenings, events, talks and walks, Blast! will be presented on the streets, the Metro line, in shops, libraries and pubs, on historic buildings and in community halls. The festival takes place over six weeks in each of Sandwell’s six distinct towns: West Bromwich, Tipton, Rowley Regis, Oldbury, Smethwick and Wednesbury; it’s open to everyone and is free. Come and join us!
