Blackwood Land Benefit Dinner

Blackwood is uniquely positioned to attract young men and women who want to learn to farm, who want to learn best practices, and who want to be sure they can financially support their families. In fact, it’s our mission! “Blackwood Educational Land Institute is a teaching farm on a quest to redefine sustainable food systems.”

We are ready to teach young adults how to farm sustainably, in harmony with our natural resources, and preserving the environment we are passing to our children.

We are ready to teach children how to make smart food choices, and this will help make them informed citizens.

We are ready to teach educators about the importance of nutritional foods, seasonal diets, and sustainable agriculture so that teaching our children can positively and exponentially impact our future generation.

We want you to be apart of the change. Join us at for a Blackwood Land Benefit Dinner on Sunday, September 27th. Beginning at 4:00pm, you may wander the farm for a self-guided tour. At 5:00pm, we will serve our guests a home cooked meal created by the founder, Cath Conlon and Blackwood staff. Our presentation and announcements will begin around 5:30pm and allow time for questions. We hope to have you on your way home around 6:30pm.

Our goal is to give friends of Blackwood Land better insight into where we are and where we’re going and how you can help us get there.

There is no cost for the tickets although donations are greatly appreciated.

This is a private family friendly event and there will be drinks available for all ages.

Benefit Itinerary

4:00pm - Suggested arrival and Self-Guide Tours are encouraged.

5:00pm* - Dinner is served.

5:45pm* - Presentation begins.

6:30pm* - Wrap up and head home.
