Event Details

Start the year off right by making change at a large scale.

The way that we tinker on cars nowadays involves a lot less elbow grease and a lot more technical skill. That's why iHub at General Motors wants your help to solve tough engineering problems that affect the way we experience cars today. You will work alongside GM engineers and product team to redesign the OnStar®  voice call navigation experience.

Don't think that this is another "feel good" hackathon where you go home with a t-shirt and an idea to collect dust. GM wants your help to make innovation move faster. Do it right, and you could be part of the team that's invited for an all-inclusive externship in Detroit from January 14th-25th, 2018, where you will ge to put your idea to the test and see its effect.

And don't worry about not having technical expertise. You bring the passion and energy, and we'll bring the seasoned engineering and innovation process support. You'll learn both how to solve a problem rapidly and how to validate which problem to solve, a key piece of user-centered design.
