Fall 2018 Schedule

All readings take place on Mondays at 8pm in the Spiegel Auditorium at 56 Brattle St., Cambridge. $3 Admission.

October 15

Carol Muske-Dukes reads from her new book, Blue Rose, with Sophie Cabot Black, author of The Exchange.


October 22

Dennis Nurkse reads from Love in the Last Days: After Tristan and Iseult, with Daniel Tobin, author of Blood Labors.


October 29

Michael Collier reads from My Bishop and Other Poems, with Elizabeth Spires, whose new book is A Memory of the Future.


November 5

Lee Briccetti, whose latest book is Blue Guide, reads with Danny Lawless, author of the recently released collection, The Gun My Sister Killed Herself With.


November 19

David Gewanter reads from his new book, Fort Necessity, with Susan Eisenberg, author of Stanley’s Girl.


December 3

Emerging Writers/New Voices: Mary Coons, Sam Cha, Jessica Fjeld.

George Kalogeris reads from Guide to Greece, with Greg Delanty, whose most recent book is Selected Delanty.




About the Blacksmith House Poetry Series

Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. The series is sponsored by the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and holds readings at the Blacksmith House, site of the village smithy and spreading chestnut tree of Longfellow’s 1839 poem "The Village Blacksmith."
