Event description

Description

Black Joy: A Stand Up Comedy Affair, tribute to Moms Mabley & celebration of laughter through political and social pains features Sampson with special guest Paris Sashay.

Sampson McCormick is an experience, a down to earth comedic force of nature and one for over a decade has been one of the most celebrated LGBT comics working. He's been named "One of the Funniest LGBT Comics" by OUT.com, BuzzFeed, The Advocate & Huffington Post.

He's appeared on BET, VH1, TV One and is currently featured on this season of VICELAND's popular series, "PayDay".

His comedy offers fresh and riveting takes on religion, politics, race and sexuality--you know, all those things you aren't suppose to talk about in polite company.

And now, you'll get to experience him live, as he brings his side splitting comedy, which often mixes the silly with the serious to Busboys & Poets (14th & V Street location's Langston Room) in Washington, DC on April 5th at 7:30PM.
