Description

Blackburn Children's Reading Festival is set to give children from all cultures, backgrounds and abilities and equal opportunity of attending a literature festival. All children's events are completely free.

An exhibition is being held in BBC Lancashire Studios in Blackburn from 9th-30th April. This is open to the public to read all about the Blackburn Children's Reading Feastival and Children's Reading Festivals.

On the 19th June there will be an opportunity for parents, teachers and educators to experience an excerpt of what the artists will be delivering to the children. This event will be held at Cafe Northcote form 7.00-10.00pm with drinks, nibbles and a raffle.

20th-22nd June - Children from 15 schools will be given timeslots to experience a read aloud interactive session with an authir respective to their age group. The venues: Blackburn Cathedral: Blackburn Library: Darwen Library: The Mall and Blackburn Market.

23rd June is families and communities day at Blackburn Cathedral - FREE entry and FREE events
