Event description

Description

Intended audience = Black women and femmes only

"July 5, 2019 I made it my bizness to get back home, to Chicago, to see Toni Morrison’s documentary, "The Pieces I Am," on my actual bearthday! Seeing the documentary was like sitting at Morrison’s feet, an elder, talkin’ her Black Woman talk. And, seeing her being loved on by others in the documentary made my ovaries smile. A month later, to the day, August 5, Mama Toni was an ancestor. And now, 3 months after seeing "Pieces of Me," next Saturday, October 5, we will love on her (and ourselves), some more. This gathering is the "soft launch" of the return of “Sis, U Belong Here. Sistas, meet me in tha circle at the Justice Hotel | 6018, for the 1st of a 3 part series of "Sis, U Belong Here" at the Justice Hotel this Saturday, October 5, 2019

Bring your fav Toni Morrison quote and something to place on the altar."
