Local Master Fitness Trainer Karen Dennis of Karen Dennis Power Trainer LLC, will present the First Annual Black Women Move event at 170 Lounge (170 West Englewood Avenue) in Teaneck, New Jersey on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 12pm ET. The event will host five different genres of dance classes taught by local industry experts. Classes include Hip-Hop and BUTI Yoga with Esha Lee, African Dance with Karen Miles, Zumba with Vanessa A. Jones and Praise Dance with Tammy Samuels. This will be the first event of many powered by Karen Dennis Power Trainer LLC, in her mission to strengthen awareness about health and fitness among women of color in Bergen County.

Esha Lee - Hip-Hop
12:00pm - 1:30pm

A high energy dance instructor who uses an array of dance movements such as: Hip Hop, Twerkin, Boss chick dance, Latin, and Afro beats. Esha's classes are uplifting to the soul, sistah bonding, and life changing to all.

Karen Miles - African Dance
1:30pm - 3:00pm

Has shared her gifted dancing skills with Brooklyn's very own Brooklyn Academy of Music during Dance Africa, the Teaching Artist Program at NJPAC, and the Sankofa Dance Company of the Virgin Island. Karen was the principal dancer with Maimouna Keita school of African Dance, and the Umoja Dance Company.

Esha Lee - BUTI Yoga
3:00pm - 4:30pm

Buti Yoga is blend of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning and deep abdominal toning. When I say Buti Yoga is FIYAH!!! It is FIYAH!!!

Vanessa A Jones - Zumba
4:30pm - 6:00pm

Licensed Zumba instructor with over 8 years of experience she brings a flavored dance style to all of her classes. Vanessa makes her classes a safe, fun place where you can check your attitudes and negativity outside. Nothing but Love and happiness in her classes, and of course sweat.

Tammy Samuels - Praise Dance
6:00pm - 7:30pm

The Artistic Director and Founder of the Emmanuel Dance Company and school. She trained at the New York Academy of Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and Broadway Dance Center. She received further training in the summer intensive programs at Steps on Broadway and Dance Theater of Harlem.
