Description
Twin Ports freshwater bluegrass & Americana band Black River Revue will celebrates the two year anniversary of recording its landmark album "Just Can't Win" at Sacred Heart by recording a live album in the same space.
Using a traditional bluegrass instrumentation, BRR has crafted their own sound made up of mostly original music which can be heard on their debut album "Garbage Pickin" (released in 2013). Their sophomore album "Spring Thaw" (released in June 2014) added another year of songwriting and live performance experience to their sound. Five years of touring, personnel change, and personal growth inspired a third record "Just Can't Win" in 2017. The album received radio play worldwide and has charted on independent and college radio states across the United States
The March 9 live performance will feature guests Ryan David Young (Trampled by Turtles) Sonja Bjordal and Adam Staupe (Feeding Leroy) and more.
Folk rockers Emily Haavik & the 35s and singer/songwriter Jillian Rae will open.
