Black Power Healing Circles
Black power is the unapologetic claim of self love. Reiki is a healing energy technique that is available to all. When combined in a safe nonjudgmental circle we begin to see what it is to live in our power in a society built to suppress and oppress us.
Our goal is to invite participants to weekly/monthly circles in order to follow the lead of community healers. The healing circle benefits have been reported as, relaxation, emotional well-being, emotional regulation, responsive versus reactive, inner peace during times of stress, body awareness as in decrease in tension, positive self outlook, cultural pride and power, limit or remove negative self-talk, decrease/stop bad habits and addictive behavior, and allow you to look upon your Blackness and Humanness with love not shame.
Goals are tracked by Before and After questionnaires charting body tenseness, breathing rate, and an understanding of personal healing with guided energy.
