The Black Psychiatrists of America (BPA) turns 50 years old in 2019. We, at BPA, will be celebrating all year long. In honor of our Golden Anniversary, we invite you to be a part of this historical moment.

Our Spring Educational Conference will kick off in the evening of April 10th with an opening Gala Event. You will be notified of the big surprise guests in a few weeks. For now, “mum” is the word ‘cause we don’t want to “let the cat out of the bag” as they say before the holidays. But know that you are in for a real treat.

The Conference officially opens on April 11th and ends in the 13th of 2019 with highly distinguished lecturers, lively and informative panel discussions and controversial topics that are sure to have you engaged. There will be some exciting film screenings by up and coming independent filmmakers with actors, producers dnd directors attending to put some fire under your feet. A special tribute to our founders and past leaders will be a part of the celebration. As well as a focus on our future as an association will be explored as we rededicate ourselves and our Association towards improving the mental health needs of underserved populations globally with special emphasis on those of African descent. You will not leave this conference without a revitalized sense of purpose and cultural renewal so mark your calendars and plan to join BPA as we enter a new era.

The final touches on the program will be completed in a few weeks and hotel booking opens October 10, 2018 as space is limited. You will love the beautiful National Harbor on the Potomac just outside Washington, DC with its great shops, excellent cuisine, breathtaking views as you stroll the boardwal.

We encourage you to get an early start at the “SPECIAL” Anniversary Early Bird Discount Rates.

This event will sell out quickly so don‘t delay. Tell your friends, family and colleagues to join us for our 50th year! Thanks and see you at the Harbor!
