Our Open Casket to the World is a 200-page hardcover publication capturing the making of the ‘Black Lives Matter' Mural in Bed-Stuy. Featuring over 300 photos and commentary exploring a community’s resolve to find healing and justice amid a nation in crisis. 

7PM: An in depth conversation of the beauty and pain that came out of the Black Lives Matter movement moderated by WQXR host, Terrance McKnight.

PANELISTS:

  • Dr. Indira Etwaroo, Artistic Advisor to The Billie and Director of The Steve Jobs Apple Theater
  • Cey Adams, legendary visual artist and founding creative director of Def Jam Recordings
  • Robert Cornegy, former New York City Council Member representing Bedford-Stuyvesant

    • 8:30PM: Reception: Book signing and meet the panelists and authors.

    TICKETING:

    $75 Ticket: Includes reception, signed book, and conversation.

    $20 Ticket: Entry to the reception and conversation but no copy of the book. If you want to purchase the book at the event you will only pay $55.
