Event description

Description

Black novels have always been a testament to our history, from much-loved writers such as Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Walter Moseley, Octavia Butler, Earnest Gaines, and more. To expand the knowledge of our stories that exist and to preserve the legacy of our legendary writers, we will provide a series of classes on adapting novels to the stage.

Over the duration of four weeks, we will offer our BLBW writers, students and local community to explore the adaptation process. Led by experienced writers who will share their process and gently guide the participants through the re-telling of these beloved stories.
