About this event
Join fine artists Alicia McDaniel and Faith Rivers as they host an energizing exhibit for the spirit and psyche. In honor of Juneteenth, “Black Joy” celebrates the resilience and creative genius of African-Americans as each generation navigates its own series of systemic challenges. Despite the agenda, black communities survive with a single line of defense– joy.
It is evident in the way we create something from nothing, it is evident in our refusal to be broken, it is evident in our ability to find strength in the smiles of our own. Black culture is a lesson in creative survival, and on this Juneteenth, we honor it.
Explore original artwork on canvas alongside fine art prints and stationery at this powerfully positive cultural event.
