About this event
Hi! I’m Estelle Tracy, an award-winning food writer and chocolate sommelier based in the Philadelphia area. As the founder of 37 Chocolates, my goal is to take you on memorable flavor journeys through cacao and chocolate.
In honor of Black History Month, we’ll be honoring the Black communities behind some of the world’s most delicious chocolate.
During this 2-hour event, we’ll taste the cacao flavors of Ghana, Tumaco in Colombia, and Tanzania through 3 (vegan) dark chocolate bars.
Icing on the chocolate cake, Benjamin Setor Gbadago, research assistant and founder of African Cocoa Stories website will be joining us for this event.

Your kit will include the following bars:
- Castronovo Chocolate 85% Tumaco dark chocolate
- 57 Chocolate 73% Ghana dark chocolate — this bar is made in Ghana.
- Askinosie Chocolate 55% Tanzania dark chocolate with strawberries & pineapple

Your tasting kit will be shipped to your home prior to the event. To avoid delivery delays, the event is limited to residents of the US only and tickets must be purchased by Monday, February 6.
Please email me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to hosting this virtual event.

Customer testimonials:
Listen to food writer Joy Manning's experience with a previous Colombian-themed tasting on the Local Mouthful podcast.
"You are very well suited to lead these classes. I appreciated your efforts to draw participation by all the guests and that your joyful personality really came through. This can be challenging with a virtual format but it worked because of you."
- Cathy
"It was such a great event, again. You seem to have a steady group of followers and it's starting to feel like meeting up with friends when we gather at your tastings. You have an amazing ability to assemble a collection of bars that everyone enjoys, may they be newcomers or seasoned pro tasters. I'm always happy to participate."- Adel
"Thank you so much for today's tasting. We had a lot of fun. It was so nice to see Maxime and Elfi again today. Their chocolates are so good! My kids also really like all the chocolates. We have attended so many tastings and it's always fun but having a good host is so important. We can't wait for your next event. Thank you!"
- Jacqueline
"Estelle's chocolate tasting was perfect - entertaining, tasty and different! She explained how chocolate was made... and stayed late to answer my friends' (many) questions. She even recommended a local wine that would complete the evening."
- Julie

About the organizer
Bonjour! I’m Estelle Tracy, a chocolate sommelier and food writer based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. My chocolate journey started with the 37 Chocolates challenge: in June of 2015, I committed to sample 37 US-made chocolates by my 37th birthday that Halloween. The life-changing journey revealed my passion for craft chocolate and the people behind these bars. I now create chocolate tasting events to share the diverse flavors of my favorite food.
