Event description

Description

Tower Hamlets Council’s Arts, Parks and Events Team will once again be helping facilitate a programme of events for Black History Month this October which celebrate African, Caribbean and Black arts, culture and history.

To this end we will be organising another open evening on May 10th where those interested in getting involved can find out about the marketing and funding support on offer, hear from previous participants and other event organisers, and ask any further questions of council officers about how to get involved in 2017. Further details about this event will be available shortly.

If you would like to be part of this year’s programme, do be aware that all activities must take place within Tower Hamlets. However, organisations based elsewhere with a pre-scheduled programme relevant to Black History Month are welcome to arrange offshoot or outreach activities in the borough as a way of making links and reaching out to wider communities.

This is free of charge, but please reserve your place in advance. Light refreshments will be available.
