Nashville, Tn -Pass the Beauty - is proud to invite you to our Black History Month Black Tie Gala Fundraiser. This honorarium event is the relaunch of our nonprofit organization, Pass the Beauty Foundation. Our goal is to bring awareness to the Social Violence and Homeless Program. Our mission is to help end social violence and homelessness. Our vision is to create healthy community-wide relationships and resolutions by partnering with community partners to coordinate and deliver services, programs, and housing resources to families experiencing homelessness due to violence and financial hardship. With the 2023 Passion for Justice Award, The Black History Month Black Tie Gala will honor The Jefferson Street Sound Museum, Black Leaders, and Health Care Professionals in Middle Tennessee. Our 2023 theme for Pass the Beauty is "Black Health and Wellness.
The fundraiser is hosted by Donzaleigh Powell and will take place on Saturday, February 4th, starting at 4 p.m., and will occur at BellShire Event Center at 3840 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, TN 37207. The fundraiser will kick off with a live Broadcast and a panel discussion moderated by Let's Talk host and co-host Ernie Allen and YOLO Bee. The "Black Health and Wellness" Panelists will feature Nashville's Black Community Leaders, Judge Allegra Walker, Judge Robin Kimbrough-Hayes, Owners of Venue 109 Keith and Nicole Mason, Ellery & Sharon K Edwards, I'm-Invisible Bullying and Suicide nonprofit, community organizer/advocate Timothy Hughes, Director of Community Engagement in the Health Equity and Stakeholder Engagement Department at the national nonprofit Health Leads USA, Jacquelyn S. Dalton, The Village at the Mayor's Office, Community Impact Manager Breanna Tilman, and published author/founder of Pass the Beauty Cintoria Franklin.
At 4: 00 pm, Guests will Check in and receive a swag bag that includes products from Black-owned businesses and community partners and promotional items that promote Black Health and Wellness. In addition, dinner, music, and a cash bar will be available. All guests will have reserved seating. We will do our best to assign seats accordingly to friends and family.
