Description

Black Girls CODE Bay Area Chapter Sponsored Trip (2 of 3)
DESIGN_CODE_BUILD @ Computer History Museum

Design_Code_Build (DCB) presented by Broadcom is an opportunity to discover, create, and learn at the Computer History Museum! Middle school students will have fun exploring the past, present, and future of computer programming through hands-on activities, while creatively solving problems and making new friends. DCB encourages students to challenge themselves, become inspired, and see science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) as an exciting adventure that they can participate in. The day includes an innovative keynote “rock star” speaker from the tech industry who shares his or her knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion with the participants.

Please note that this program is designed for students in grades 6 through 8. Space is limited to 30 students and registrations will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

Shuttle from Oakland - If your Tech Diva needs transportation to and from Oakland, the cost of transportation is $15.

The Black Girls CODE team will provide bus transportation from Impact Hub Oakland to and from the event to support our families. Parents chaperones and volunteers are encouraged to participate. Bus leaves Impact Hub Oakland at 7:30 am. Check in starts at 8:30 a.m. Lunch and laptops will be provided.
