Description

This course eight (8) hour course will examine the black gang migration to the West Coast and early social clubs, which later became street gangs. This course will begin with an historical account of how the founders of the Crips and Bloods evolved and recruited black street gangs. The examination of how black prison inmates formed the Black Guerilla Family (BGF) Prison Gang in the 1960’s to how the BGF operates and influences black street gangs today will also be presented.

The course will also focus on the Black Street Gang identification, structure, symbols, tattoos, as well as the crack cocaine and the music industry connection. Innovative investigative techniques and strategies to combat the crime trends will also be discussed.
