The goal of this The event was to explore the intersection of identity and Practice, precisely why the design field has failed to Attract African American students, how hegemony Works, spaces impact professionals of color, andPotential improvement methods.
Black design. Past, present, and future Is a two-day virtual event attempting to Link equitable design talk with action. This event is a follow-up to the state of black design and will be broken into four categories, honoring our ancestors, the diaspora, our present, and the future. This event will feature speakers, panels, workshops, and a career fair. This Career Fair will attempt to connect the state of black designs 3k> following with employers who seek to recruit designers of color. All proceeds from this event will be used as scholarship funding for Black students interested in entering academia.
