Honor Black stories by supporting local Black filmmakers.

About this Event

Every first Wednesday of the month, we invite you to The Bronzeville Incubator for an evening to help us honor Black stories by showcasing and supporting local Black filmmakers. This month we will be screening Training Wheels by filmmaker Sandrel "Sanicole" Young.

Filmmaker Sanicole is an extraordinary writer/director born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, IL. She graduated with her film/video degree from Columbia College Chicago and has continued to be an active trailblazer in cinema by independently writing, producing, and directing a series of short film exhibited in numerous film festivals and television outlets around the country.

Training Wheels is about an incredibly gifted little girl who uses her telepathic powers to bring her wayward father home. It has been screened at film festivals across the nation and was executive produced by comedian Lil Rel Howery from the hit film “Get Out” directed by Jordan Peele. Watch the trailer here.

Join Us! Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the night.
