Event description

Description

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library presents an exploration of a brand new art exhibit and its artists. Black Blooded is an exhibit at The New Gallery of Modern Art (435 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202), and is built like a family photo album with close to 70 pieces by 50 artists. This group exhibition demonstrates the diversity and nuance within narratives of tradition, consanguinity, and origin. Be part of a public conversation with artists Stephanie J. Woods, Brianna Robinson, and Carmen Neely about their work, life, and education and how it ties into the show Black Blooded. This discussion will be moderated by the exhibit’s curator Jessica Gaynelle Moss.
