School Counselors and attendees will attend monthly meetings to learn new strategies, share best practices and network with their colleagues. School Counselors and attendees will learn new strategies on how to address the social/emotional, academic and post-secondary needs of their students. Issues such as a School’s Culture and Climate, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Attendance, Crisis and De-escalation, Respect for All, etc. will be addressed. School Counselors and attendees will be given the materials so that they can turn-key the information back to their colleagues in their school. All conversations, presentations, activities, etc. will be centered around the Chancellor’s Framework for Great Schools.
Outcomes: School Counselors and attendees will have the tools and strategies necessary to help increase student achievement in their school communities. They will have the tools to increase the capacity of their School Counseling programs to help to ensure that every student in their school community is college and career ready.
