Event description

Description

The New York BizLab and Clarkson University are giving you the month of August to reflect on the amazing speakers we've had during the past 14 events.

The list of presenters is a Who's Who for New York's Capital Region, CEOs of the region's fastest growing companies, the CEO behind of one of the biggest deals in recent memory, and on and on it goes.

But on Sept. 20 we hit the ground running with one of the region's most respected chief executives, Mike Saccocio. Mike is the Executive Director of the City Mission of Schenectady, and he will be discussing Social Entrepreneurship at the next BizLab-Clarkson Lunchtime Entrepreneurship Series on Thursday, Sept. 20. Here's a Times Union profile on Mike.

Tickets to hear Mike speak are $10 for the general public. Attendees will have time to network, eat at great lunch and hear an amazing speaker and be out the door in an hour!

Free parking is available in back of the BizLab, on either side of Liberty Street and metered parking in front on State Street. Enter via the doors to the right.

We've had an amazing group of speakers at the BizLab-Clarkson Lunchtime Entrepreneurship Series.

Serial entrepreneur Craig Skevington just challenged attendees not to be so careful planning that they miss opportunities.

June's speaker, Mitch Hara, CEO of Beekman 1802, talked about how he is "building a national brand into a competitive business."

In May, Paul Potratz, who heads Potratz Advertising, spoke about the value of social media and managing your brand.

Lisa Avila, CEO of Kitware, talked about Kitware's growth and Lisa's gutsy move to leave a secure job at GE by clicking here: https://dailygazette.com/article/2018/04/26/ceo-recounts-20-years-of-growth-for-kitware.

In March, we had Frank Poore, CEO of CommerceHub, which was just acquired for $1.1 billion. You can read how Frank grew the company by clicking here: https://dailygazette.com/article/2018/03/15/commercehub-co-founder-recalls-key-steps-to-success

In January, CEO Nicole Snow told us how Darn Good Yarn was doing "pretty darn good."

That's just the tip of the iceberg.
