Bittersweet Love Potions: Winter Cocktails of the Farmers Market
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (PST)
13 bartenders, 8 restaurants, and an unforgettable (and unlimited) night of bittersweet cocktails and bites
Love is a many-splendored thing. It hurts, it burns, it wounds, and it heals. Love makes us laugh and cry, and it drives us to drink in both celebration and sorrow. And it has spawned 10,000 songs.
This Valentine’s week, join CUESA and the San Francisco chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) in the Ferry Building’s romantic Grand Hall for a night of creative love potions that bring forth both the bitter and the sweet. An all-star lineup of bartenders and chefs will highlight California citrus—prized for its bitter rind and sweet flesh—in their original creations, as well as other fresh winter treats from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, like kiwis, guavas, fennel, and more!
Guests receive two full-sized signature cocktails, 11 sample sized drinks, and delicious hors d’oeuvres from eight of the Bay Area’s hottest chefs. There will be interactive games (Spin the Bottle!), a photobooth, and live music from Erin Brazill and the Brazillionaires.
Whether cupid’s arrow pierced your heart years ago or you’re still looking for love in all the wrong places, you won’t want to miss this evening of sexy cocktails and savory bites. As Lennon said, it’s all you need.
