The 2nd annual BiTHouse Pitch® Competition takes place on March 5, 201 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM in collaboration with the City of Austin's Parks and Recreation Department, Emma S. Barrientos MACC. The BiTHouse Pitch® Competition is focused on identifying and preparing youth, women and minority founders of disruptive technology platforms and wearable technology solutions to compete in mainstream pitch competitions. We provide workshops, conduct hackathons and pitch events to enable entrepreneurs to communicate their business concepts, compete in mainstream pitching competitions and aid with solutions for entrepreneurs to obtain brand alliances, venture capital, angel investments, government financing, corporate support and alternative funding opportunities.

WHAT: BiTHouse Pitch® allows for entrepreneurs to make a live 3-MINUTE PITCH of their innovative venture and be assessed as to the viability of their ventures by legal professionals, business leaders, academics, investors, and engineers.  We are looking for  disruptive web/mobile ventures,  and device companies that can be scaled and aligned with entities which can aid with leapfrogging their success. COACHING, MENTORSHIP and FEEDBACK will be provided before and after to better prepare the participants.  We carefully select our judges in order to minimize the chances of biased evaluations of ideas and concepts due to social and economic factors of the judges and/or participants. If you are interested in being a judge, please send an email to:

WHY: Our goal is to prepare companies founded by minority entrepreneurs for real world challenges which they may face. We don’t just want to prepare them for financing opportunities, we want them to assemble strong leadership teams which enable them to scale, market and sell their products.

WHO: The competition is open to minority (Latino/Hispanic, African American/African Diaspora, Native American) entrepreneurs and companies who have a leadership team that is 75 percent minority.

- IDEAS ARE GENIUS (have a great idea but need a developer to build it)
