About this event
The BitCurator Users Forum brings together representatives from libraries, archives, museums, and related information professions engaged in (or considering) digital forensics work to acquire, better understand, and make available born-digital materials. The forum will balance discussion of theory and practice of digital forensics and related digital analysis workflows with hands-on activities for users at all levels of experience with the BitCurator environment, digital forensics methods in general, and other tools for use in digital analysis and curation.
Given the shift from in-person to an exclusively online event for BUF 2020, we are happy to offer a variety of registration tiers to take into account both the reality of newly diminished or unavailable professional development funds and the reduced cost of running an online event. For those that have not had any change in professional development funding and wish to provide additional support to the Forum and the BitCurator Consortium community, we have included our in-person registration rates from last year's BUF and a high-roller rate that is equivalent to the cost of in-person conference attendance.
Revenue generated through ticket sales contributes to Forum operating expenses and the sustainability of the community. Registration closes on October 2, 2020. We encourage you to register early. Although the Forum can accommodate up to 500 attendees, workshop enrollment will be capped (with waitlists).
