Bit By Bit 2021: Breaking the Barrier for Girls in Tech
Event Information
About this Event
Bit by Bit is a conference for high school girls, devoted to bringing together girls interested in computer science. Why? We believe that by gathering successful women with experiences to share, we can ensure that the female coders, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the future are prepared in an industry in which women are underrepresented.
Join us at our digital conference, premiering on April 17th, 2021, to hear from our inspiring keynote speakers: Allison McHenry, the Senior Director of Engineering for games at the New York Times, and Julia Grace, VP of Engineering at Netflix and former Engineering Director at Apple.
Spend the remainder of the day hearing your questions about computer science in different areas answered by our panelists, hearing about mentors' experiences working in computer science, getting hands-on experience in workshops, and learning about future opportunities to pursue computer science. End the day with a greater understanding of the tech world!
Who can come?
All female-identified high school students are welcome! No coding or tech experience is required, and the conference is cost-free! Show up with an open mind and an interest in tech.
