<h2>Birth Over Breakfast</h2>In these critical times, we are collectively being asked to midwife the birth of a new world— a world we ALL ACTUALLY want to live in. The old imperial systems are collapsing and we all feel it. Just like in physiologic birth — a collapse that involves pressure and rupture leads us through the portal to SIGNIFICANT transformation. The shape of this world is not a hierarchical pyramid filled with many layers of greed, yet a circle where power flows not hoards. A circle that centers children, lifegivers and ALL thriving LIFE. A world where we choose reciprocity &amp; care over domination &amp; cruelty. Where truth comes before comfort. A future where nobody’s life is treated as expendable and the future generations are protected, valued and respected. A culture where all land &amp; nature are truly seen as sacred, community is wealth and care is power. Yet, the truth is that the future is being practiced already through Indigenous Matriarchy and many communities around the world. It’s time to return to this knowledge. This requires us to shift from collective &amp; cultural amnesia to collective re-membrance.We are intentionally having speakers that represent different cultures and prioritizing voices from non-dominant culture. We also would love to explore how gender nonconformity could also be positively affected by Indigenous matriarchy — as it benefits us all. You are invited to explore this theme with us and what better day than Mother’s Day to honor Indigenous Matriarchy! Just like the other events are modeled similarly to the Death over Dinner events, there will be prompts at your table to share insights together in community over a meal.
