Event description

Birds Eye View and The Extraordinary Travelling Film Show bring cinema back to Vauxhall (who have had no cinema since the 1970s) for 2 nights only, showing one new and one classic film by a woman.

Birds Eye View are a charity celebrating its 15th year in 2017, whose mission it is to champion films by women and help the world see with both eyes not just one. ETFS do awesome pop up cinema events around London and the Isle of Wight. Together we are great hosts!

The venue is a former fire engine workshop now called The Workshop, a temporary community space for arts and culture, on Lambeth High Street, and one of the biggest original industrial spaces in London.

We have A UNITED KINGDOM by Amma Assante on June 14 which stars David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike, and the hiliarous POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE, the classic by the beloved Carrie Fisher, which stars Meryl Streep as Carrie, on July 5.

All shows start 8pm. Doors open 7pm. Tickets include a free mocktail.

The films are all followed by a presentation about the film followed by audience discussions hosted by Oscar winning film producer Mia Bays who runs Birds Eye View.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Vauxhall Train, Tube and Bus Station are 5 mins walk away and Zone 1. Parking, as it's after 630pm, will be available in nearby streets but it'll be up to you to locate those when you arrive, so arrive for 7-715pm to give yourself time to park.

What can I bring into the event?

Please make sure you have a coat or another layer in case it gets cold as it's a big industrial indoor space and will get chill for some people if the evening gets cooler outside. We will have tea/coffee/water/sweets/savoury snacks to buy. Your ticket includes a Moscow Mule mocktail (non-alcoholic). We cannot serve alcohol but we cannot stop you bringing your own.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

What's the refund policy?

No refunds I'm afraid.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes or on your phone is fine.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes. The bearer must just have the ticket on their phone or printed.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes that's fine.
