Bioluminescence on the Beach
Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
What do glow worms, algal blooms, and red tides have in common? Join Cathleen for a magical evening at the beach to learn about bioluminescence. What it is, how it works, Who does it and WHY? There will be lively discussions as we wait & watch the waves for the bioluminescence to begin. Since each family will receive a phytoplankton sample even YOU will sparkle as you leave! Also open to youth (age 10-17) with adult attendance.

Point Reyes National Seashore Association: Field Institute
Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) is a cooperating association of the National Park Service. We work in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore and the public to preserve, restore and maintain wildlife habitat, trails, and historic sites in our beautiful coastal park. Our year-round environmental education programs help children and adults deepen their understanding of nature and inspire the next generation of park stewards.
