Description

BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS MODELLING AND SIMULATION CAMP

“Three days of Systems Modeling and Simulation in the paradise” this is our motto for the very first edition of the BiSMSiC, our professional development camp for biologists and computational biologists.

The primary objective is to learn how to use CellDesignerTM to design and simulate computational models of biological networks. We know how diverse the background of our attendees will be. Therefore, we will use a common topic that is of general interest and will be easily understood by all: MAPK signaling pathways in cancer. Secondly, we aim networking and team building among the participants.

Moreover, we want you to have a good time in Porto de Galinhas, that’s why the camp program will be held in the morning (08:00 -12:00) and in the evening (19:00-22:00) so that you have time to enjoy the low-tide beach in the afternoon (12:00 – 17:00) and make new friends.

No need to say, you can find many many activities to do in Porto de Galinhas: scuba diving, snorkeling, surf, kiteboard, SUP, buggy trips, boat trips, local culinary tasting, sub-aquatic photography, yoga, pilates, local dance and many others. It is up to you, we will indicate some leisure organizers but it is up to you.

In order to receive the certificate, attendees must attend 80% (16h out of 21h) of activities, and deliver the two milestones.
