Sign up to do one poem and one Karaoke song. It can be your own poem, somebody else's or a poem from 'The Pool Table of poetry'. One lucky person is drawn out to win the Werner Herzog DVD of the month. This month the themed Karaoke is the songs of Stephin Merrit and Magnetic Fields. Let us know your favourite Magnetic Fields Song in advance and we’ll try and get a Karaoke version for you.
Featured Poetry - we get a featured poet to do a short read and then come back as the Bingo caller for the
Cash Prize Bingo - which is self explanatory.
Featured Karaoke music act – A band with inflatable guitars does a Karaoke set of their own songs and they go at it like they're on Top of the Pops. This month, the wonderful Gamebody and Nintendo pop of Deerful.
Fun features such as End of night singalong, where everybody gets on stage & selected tracks from a lost gem are played for the half time interval album.
New for 2017 - Themed Karaoke night coming up include Pulp, Eurovision and Bertolt Brecht, to name a few.
Try imagining how much fun that would be – don’t bother, you wouldn’t even get close, so come down and see for yourself.
