Noble Men in Town

Noble Men was founded in 2017 by Hamza Bouchnak and Amine Barakety with the idea of developing further their own sound. They were briefly joined by Meriam Khadraoui. Ray Suryana (originally from Indonesia) joined the band in a very short time and the project had been going well.

With influences that span tribal sounds, the melancholic experiments of Ray combined with expansive, moody melodies of Hamza and various, atmospheric and rhythmic compositions of Amine, the project led to unusual lengthy compositions including passages with surprisingly dynamic shifts. By incorporating unique elements of vintage music from the '60s influences to more '80s-sound, the music of Noble Men had reached a certain level of originality and maturity.

More recently, Azza Mezghani (vocals and songwriting) and Karim Toumi (keyboards and backing vocals) joined the band, forming the most recent five person lineup. Azza’s contribution was noticeable by contrasting dual female vocal harmonies to help create a more melodic and detached sound. Azza’s vocals convey a multitude of emotions. Her vocals can be described as being in a mood of temptress, lover, sufferer, and dreamer; sometimes referred to schizophrenic thoughts.

Karim’s contribution to the band was not only as a keyboard player but also as an opera singer had been surprising and very fruitful. His know-how for playing such mesmerizing soundscapes with the harmonium and his influences of Psychedelic-Rock genre had made Noble Men's music unique and distinctive.

The band’s sound is original and it is recognized as a phase of post-apocalyptic atmosphere. It is described as a transition from chaos, suffering and state of depression to a state of well being, a period of quiet, a new era of aftermath
