ABOUT THE EVENT:
The Bill Rogers Youth Foundation is proud to present Phase II of “Never Let a Drop of Water Go to Waste” Fundraising Gala in Liberia, this December , following huge turnout and a successful event in USA this past July that welcomed many celebrity stars from all around the globe. Everyone came out with a united spirit and goal which is to enhance the lives of the youth in Liberia. An invitee describes the ambience of the US event as breathtaking with a purpose to do more for the youth of Liberia.
The Foundation is pleased to kick off a continuation of the “Never Let a drop of Water waste gala” coupled with “Sport for peace” Youth tournament this December in Monrovia, Liberia. This highly anticipated event will feature celebrities, athletes, musicians, speakers, and leaders from Liberia. Most importantly, it will include local youth whom have been recognized as excellent academic and athletic community leaders and close off with awarding charity organization
“Never Let a Drop of Water Go to Waste” In Liberia is slated for December 15th, 2013 opening with a youth soccer and basketball tournament on December 14th, featuring local high school teams in Monrovia. The “Sports for Peace” youth tournament, hosted by BRYF, will help student athletes from targeted impoverished communities to raise local sponsorship to cover the costs of their educational supplies, school uniforms, and school fees. The winning team of the sports tournament will have their high school awarded the BRYF project's FIRST water well and pump in Liberia!! We are also awarding the winning team's high school a public restroom facility!!
To make this phase of the clean drinking water project a success and reality, I am asking all the BRYF community of friends and supporters for help in this endeavor in order to:
1. Visit the possible locations of water well and pump sites to finalize the selected location sites.
2. Outreach to the local residents. Seek local support for our water project and to raise public awareness of the BRYF and our future humanitarian and development projects.
3. Establish reputable and reliable local firms to install the first phase of water stations.
