Bilingual Foudation of the Arts presents the Spanish Classic  "Blood Wedding" by Federico Garcia Lorca.  Part of his renound Trilogy "Blood Wedding".

Set in a village in Lorca's Andalusia, "Blood Wedding" tells the story of two families linked by a vendetta.
A young man marries a girl who runs away the day of their wedding with the son of the adversary family.
Consumed by their burning unsustainable love for each other, they succumb to their passion.
Garcia Lorca wrote: "Theatre requires from the characters appearing on stage to wear a poetry dress and to show their bones and their blood".
It is through his work that he plays out the tragedy of love missed, the struggle between freedom and repression, individualism vs. society, the rituals and the constraints of commitments and the limitations placed on your life as well as the losses you experience throughout your life.
"Blood Wedding" is a powerful poetic text that incorporates rhythm, music, pathos, magical thinking, symbolic images, stylized action.
As the moon that envelopes us disappears between the tree trunks, the sensuality, beauty and the joy of life, the grief and the loss and ultimately the passing of death "lie on the dark root of the scream".
